4eTurnTracker continues to be a popular program, even though many are playing 5e these days. However, I am no longer using the program myself so I plan to invest the money I spend on this site into a new project! :)

4eTurnTracker 2.0 is now "officially" out of Beta with the release of version 2.0.10. All known bugs have been fixed and, the program is generally quite stable so, if you are still using version 1.5, now is a good time to upgrade.

And, you won't regret it!

Version 2 implements every major feature that has ever been requested for a 4th Edition combat manager! You can import Monster, Traps and Characters. Create encounters, track numerous conditions and effects, and "program" practically every aspect of the powers used in combat. And, as you will know if you have used the program before, that is just the beginning.

If you want, you can use the classic "Conditions and Effects" dialog, as you may know it from version 1.5, but 2.0 has the "Programmable" Conditions and Effects dialog that is superior in every way. Even if you are just adding an ad hoc condition, this version if the dialog has hot-key short-cuts that allow you to work much quicker, once you get used to them. But the biggest time saver is when this dialog is used in combination with PC or Monster powers. In this case, you only ever have to enter the effects of a power once. After that, the program "remembers" all your inputs and fills in everything for you, the next time you use the power.

In the latest version I have added "hint" message box at the bottom of the "Programmable" Conditions and Effects dialog. This is intended to help guide you quickly through using powers that have already been programmed. As before, the CTRL-G hot-key takes you through the fields that need to been filled out when using a power. The hint message now tells you what you need to do, for example: select the targets, enter damage amount, etc.

Other changes are listed in the release notes as usual. If you have a bug report or comment on the latest version, then be sure to let me know.

Otherwise, I still have a number things on my to-do list. And, I will implement this and that from the list as time goes by. However, what I am not sure of is where the program is going next in general. Personally I think I have pretty much reached the limit of what such a program can do for the DM.

So what's next? Maybe D&D "NEXT" (i.e. 5e) support? Your input would be very much appreciated of this.In the meantime, enjoy the program!
